efillink The easiest way to fill inkjet cartridges Learn how to make cleaning cartridges

If the printer does not
recognize the chip,
move the cartridge as
in the photo to allow
better contacts
Photo A
Observe the internal passage in the
photo above, indicated by the
yellow line for ink pick up from the
bottom and red line to the exit
feeding ink into the printer nozzle.
Even what the cartridge is full, air
could be trapped in this passage.
Air must be purged from this
passage to allow ink to flow.
Do not remove the label in attempt
to see the internal construction.
This could damage the cartridge
seal.
Which plug should I remove?

For R1800/R800/R2400 - refill
with both plugs removed
The red arrow points at the front air
vent plug, this plug must be
removed for normal operation. The
other hole is the refill hole. Make
sure the syringe has no air when
you refill. Refill without a needle,
unless the refill hole is a needle hole.
Both plugs must be removes when
you refill the cartridge.

If you have a new printer and you are installing the easyrefill cartridge, the cartridge must be prefilled with ink and
rid of the air before installation. Once you use the vacuum method to fill the cartridge, repeat a last step to make
sure air in the exit passage is removed. Unless you the cartridge is allowed to run dry, you should not have to run
the cleaning cartridge. If you use the cleaning cartridges, print the test pattern to check if the pattern comes out
rignt, it gives you the extra confidence the print head is in good shape. Do not run the auto nozzle check, just
print to clean. This will save time and not dump ink into the printer. ( If you purchased a used printer or refurb
printer, this test will help you to determine if the print heads are in good shape. )
This is how it is done: Empty the syringe. Insert the syringe tightly into a refill hole where the syringe will fit.
Some cartridge has a large hole and a small hole, some has two large holes. As long as the syringe fits, it will
work. Once the syringe is tightly inserted, pull the plunger to create a vacuum.
Release and repeat these steps 3 - 4 times, check to see if the exist passage is filled with ink. If you see foam in
the cartridge, leave the cartridge in upright position for a few hours before use.
Small air bubbles or foam in the cartridge will cause banding. Always empty air from the syringe before filling the
cartridge. The auto nozzle check can be used for a couple of times but the print pattern above is provided to
avoid waste. The auto nozzle check is wasteful if you have to run it more than twice. It takes 4 - 5 auto nozzle
check to empty half the cartridge.
Email easyrefill@efillink.com for assistance after a couple of auto nozzle check and the print is not right.

1. A set of small 10 ml syringe is included in the package. Pre-fill the syringe with 5 ml ink. Purge the air before inserting the syringe tightly into the large refill hole. The other hole plugged tightly.
|
2. Pull the plunger to create a vacuum while pressing the syringe tightly against the cartridge. Release to allow the ink to flow into the cartridge. Repeat these steps after purging the air from the syringe. This will help remove air from the bottom of the cartridge.
|
3. Refill the syringe as in step 1. Repeat step 2. After you have the cartridge 85% filled, empty the air from the cartridge, insert the syringe in the refill hole again to remove what air is left in the cartridge. Let the cartridge sit for a couple of hours before use.
